MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103904 A) filed by Omega Seiki Private Limited, New Delhi, on Oct. 28, 2025, for 'plastic waste recycling system.'

Inventor(s) include Rajinder Kumar; and Sourabh Kumar Geda.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plastic waste recycling system, comprising a vehicle 101 provided with a chamber 102 and equipped with a multispectral imaging unit 106, which captures images of surrounding area and identify presence of plastic waste, a robotic arm 107, equipped with a gripper 108, grips and fetches identified plastic waste, the gripper 108 is fitted with multiple suction cups 109 for securing the plastic waste and multiple audio transducers 110 detects audio signatures from plastic waste, a charge-based tester 111 on the gripper 108 verifies the plastic type based on static charge, multiple hoppers 112 connected to partitions in the chamber 102, receive the categorized plastic waste, each hopper 112 includes a shredder 113 to process the waste before storage, a granulator 201 melts the waste into granules, which are fed to a 3D printer 301 to fabricate items as per user input, a quality assessment unit 306 inspects printed items."
