MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003701 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'plastic cast manufacturing device.'
Inventor(s) include Gurpreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plastic cast manufacturing device, comprises of a housing 1 placed on a ground surface installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by a user to select a user-desired shape of cast to be manufactured, a storage chamber 3 stored with plastic pellets integrated with an electronically controlled valve to dispense an appropriate amount of pellet from the chamber 3, a heating unit to melt the plastic, a hopper 5 positioned for receiving the molten plastic, a motorized reciprocatory screw 6 for passing the received molten plastic towards a mold 7, multiple coolant 8 filled conduits for cooling the molten plastic filled within the mold 7 to get casted plastic which is dispensed over a tray 10 and an outlet 11 arranged on housing 1 accessed by user to collect the plastic cast."
