MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074187 A) filed by Applied Photonix, Llc, Wilmington, U.S.A., on Aug. 4, for 'plasmonic photonic technology for destruction of pollutants in fluids.'
Inventor(s) include Goswami, Lovely.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A material composition for detoxifying a fluid includes a photocatalyst and nanoparticles of a non-oxidizing metal alloy, such as plasmonic nanoparticles. An article for purifying a fluid includes a substrate having a first surface opposite a second surface and a coating over one of the first surface and the second surface. The coating includes a photocatalyst and plasmonic nanoparticles. A system for purifying a fluid includes a housing defining a volume, a light source removably coupled to the housing configured to emit radiation at a predetermined frequency, a substrate positioned adjacent the light source, the substrate including plasmonic nanoparticles configured to emit radiation at the predetermined frequency, and a volume defined between the light source and the substrate configured to receive the fluid."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 01, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/014071.
