MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022621 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'plant support device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plant support device, comprises of a frame 1 positioned near a herbaceous plant, a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by user to provide inputs regarding geo-coordinate of a location, capturing module 4 captures images of the plant, multiple wheels 3 maneuver the frame 1, a hydraulically operated vertical rod 5 adjusts length of the rod 5 to match with the height of the plant, a motorized clamp 7 clamps onto the plant to hold the plant upright, an extendable pole 8 extends to position the vessel in close proximity of the ripened fruits, a primary and secondary chamber 10 stores of water and essential mineral nutrients, a first and second nozzle 11 dispenses the water and nutrient minerals, level sensors senses level of the water and mineral nutrients stored in the chamber 10."
