Praveen; R Bharath Kumar; K Changu Naidu; Sk Aseeb Basha; Golla Samuyelu; and Principal, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, on May 15, for 'plant-mediated green synthesis and characterization of iron oxide nanoparticles using barleria prionitis.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. K. Prasada Rao; Dr. A. Praveen; R Bharath Kumar; K Changu Naidu; Sk Aseeb Basha; Golla Samuyelu; and Principal.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using Barleria prionitis leaf extract via a green co-precipitation method. The plant extract acts as a reducing and stabilizing agent for iron ions. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibit crystalline structure, nanoscale size, and potential applications in biomedical, catalytic, and environmental fields. The process is eco-friendly and cost-effective."
