MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104298 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'plant health monitoring and control system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plant health monitoring and control system, comprising a control unit (8051 microcontroller) 101 that manages and operates the entire system, a soil moisture module 102 that detects the moisture content present in the soil, a pH module 103 that measures the pH level to determine soil acidity or alkalinity, a display unit 104 that presents real-time readings of soil moisture and pH values, an alarm unit 105 that alerts the user when soil conditions deviate from optimal levels, a control logic 106 embedded within the microcontroller that continuously monitors and regulates plant growth parameters to maintain proper soil conditions, a water pump or irrigation control unit that automatically supplies water when soil moisture falls below a desired level, a memory unit that records sensor readings for data analysis, and user-adjustable input controls that allow modification of soil moisture and pH thresholds to support healthy plant growth."
