MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010765 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'plant growth management device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plant growth management device, comprises of a cylindrical body 1 developed to be grown with plant installed with a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to provide input regarding type of plant grown within body 1 and then, moisture level to be maintained in soil is fetched from a database, a telescopically operated rod 4 extends and position a disc 3 at optimum height to prevent growth of plant beyond height, a camera 5 to detect growth of plant and an expandable pulley arrangement 7 integrated with disc 3 increase disc's 3 diameter to restrict growth of plant, a sprayer 8 to dispense water on plant, a moisture sensor to detect level of soil's moisture, a SPR sensor to detect pests on plant and a sanitization unit 10 to emit UV radiation on plant to eliminate pest."
