MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097149 A) filed by Energy Dome S. P. A., Milano, Italy, on Oct. 8, for 'plant and process for energy management.'

Inventor(s) include Spadacini, Claudio; and Rizzi, Dario.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plant and a process for energy management which carry out a closed thermodynamic cyclic transformation (TTC), first in one direction in a charging phase and then in an opposite direction in a discharging phase, between a gasometer (2) for storing carbon dioxide in the gaseous phase and at a first storage pressure (PAG') in equilibrium with atmospheric pressure and a mass accumulator (11) for storing carbon dioxide in the liquid phase at a second storage pressure (PA'H). In the charging phase, it is provided for removing heat from the mass accumulator (11) to condense part of the vapor phase of the carbon dioxide contained in it and keep the second storage pressure (PA'H) constant or substantially constant. In the discharging phase, it is provided for transferring heat to the mass accumulator (11) to evaporate part of the liquid phase of the carbon dioxide contained in it and keep the second storage pressure (PA'H) constant or substantially constant."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 24, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/053991.
