MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092745 A) filed by Flender Gmbh, Bocholt, Germany, on Sept. 26, for 'planetary gearbox comprising a sun gear mounted in a planet carrier.'
Inventor(s) include Kleine-Brockhoff, Ralf; Lensing, Volker; and Vennemann, Michael.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a planetary gearbox (10) for a wind turbine (100) which is driven via a rotor (106) and comprises at least one planetary stage (14) which rotates about an axis of rotation AD in a gearbox housing (12), wherein the at least one planetary stage (14) has a planet carrier (16) and a ring gear (20) and the planet carrier (16) is at least indirectly drivingly connected to the rotor (72), and wherein the planet carrier (16) has a plurality of planet gears (18) which rotate with the planet carrier (16) and mesh with the ring gear (20) and a sun wheel (22), preferably with helical teeth, in a reciprocal manner. The sun gear (22) is mounted so as to be rotatable about the axis of rotation AD and axially displaceable relative to the planet carrier (16) of the at least one planetary stage (14). A rotation-in-rotation bearing system is provided, and the axial force generated by the helical teeth can be absorbed directly via the planet carrier (16)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/058579.
