MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541084577 A) filed by Dr. M. G. R. Educational & Research Institute, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Sept. 5, 2025, for 'pista shell extract based anti-aging cream and method of preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a natural anti-aging skincare composition and method of preparation thereof. The method (100) includes preparing an aqueous phase with glycerin and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), preparing an oil phase with almond oil (Prunus dulcis), stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, beeswax (Cera alba), and tocopherol, emulsifying the two phases at 70-75 C, stabilizing with triethanolamine, cooling at 35- 45 C, and incorporating pista shell extract from Pistacia vera, essential oil, and preservative to yield a cream composition (102). The cream demonstrates strong antioxidant activity, tyrosinase inhibition, microbial safety, and stability with desirable spreadability and texture. In some embodiments, activated charcoal is optionally included to provide detoxification and skin-brightening benefits."
