MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007842 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'pipeline repairing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipeline repairing assistive device comprises of a platform 1 by a user underneath a pipeline, with a cuboidal block 2, manually placed by the user on the pipeline above the platform 1, the platform 1 is further incorporated with a laser sensor 3 to detect ground leveling, according to which extending/retracting of telescopic rods 4 arranged underneath the platform 1 is achieved for stabilization of platform 1, a weight sensor to detect block 2 placement as an electromagnetic strip on the platform 1 magnetizes and secures the block 2, further pair of telescopic bars 5 suspend underneath the block 2, positioning suction cups over the platform 1 to affix the block 2, as the bars 5 then extend to press the pipe, an imaging unit 8 on the platform 1 determines successful pipe pressing, while a speaker 9 generates voice commands for pipeline repair notification."
