MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018870 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'pipe wrapping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Mohammad Mazid; and Dr. Arvind Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe wrapping device, comprises of an extendable elongated body 1 configured with a handle 4 for handling the body 1, a touch enabled screen accessed by a user for providing input details for wrapping pipe laid on a ground surface, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting the user's height, a camera 7 for detecting free-end of the pipe, a telescopically operated gripper 8 installed on the body 1 for gripping and positioning the pipe's free-end in contact with Z-shaped member 9, a motorized clipper 10 configured with the member 9 to grip the pipe, a motor coupled with the member 9 to rotate and wrap pipe on the member 9 and a driven gear 11 installed on shaft 5 and linked with a driving gear 12 via a chain looped around gears to rotate resulting in rotation of omnidirectional wheels 6 over the ground surface for collecting the pipe."
