MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059307 A) filed by Kubota Corporation, Osaka, Japan, on June 20, for 'pipe transport device and piping method.'

Inventor(s) include Komaru Yuito; and Oda Keita.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a pipe conveyance device that is capable of efficient transport and that can transport a flexible pipe member in a stable orientation inside a pipeline. The pipe conveyance device 1 conveys a pipe member that is laid in an existing pipeline. The pipe conveyance device 1 has a pipe support member 11 which is a rod-shaped member that passes through to support a flexible pipe member, and pipe transport members 12A, 12B that detachably support the pipe support member 11 and can transport the supported pipe support member 11. The pipe transport members 12A, 12B cause a pipe member 50 supported by the pipe support member 11 to be transported along the axial direction of an existing pipeline in a state in which the pipe support member 11 is supported inside the pipeline."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/046135.
