MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018208 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'pipe expansion device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe expansion device, comprising a circular shaped ring 1 installed with a handle 2 positioned in proximity to a pipe, an image capturing module 3 is installed on the handle 2 for determining the pipe dimension, plurality of telescopic rods 4 are installed on outer periphery of the ring 1 for positioning the rod 4 inside the pipe, a display panel 5 is installed on the handle 2 enabling user input commands, an expandable pulley arrangement 6 is configured within the ring 1 to increase inner surface area covered by the rods 4 within the pipe and a heating unit 7 is installed on each tip of the rods 4 for heating the pipe."
