MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105073 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'pipe connector joining assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pipe connector joining assistive device Comprising an elongated body 101 with a handle 102 at the distal end for user grip and a proximal end positioned near the pipe, a touch interactive display panel 103 to input commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104, with an ultrasonic sensor for diameter detection, a holographic projection unit 105 displays 3D guidance for placing the pipe onto a vertically mounted motorized cylindrical member 106, equipped with a motorized expandable pulley 107, with a telescopically operated rod 108 for diameter adjustment and positioning, a heating unit 109 within the member 106 expands the pipe, a robotic gripper 110 transfers the pipe to motorized clippers 111, mounted on a motorized lead screw 112 to provide movement, and a tactile sensor to detect the hardness of pipe and connectors."
