MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006999 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'pillar securing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Manjit Singh; Gurkirat Singh; Navneet Singh; and Lovepreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pillar securing device, comprises a set of C-shaped extendable frames 1 having first end connected to each other, a microphone 2 enables a user to input voice commands regarding the initiation of the operation for securing the pillar, a motorized hinge 3 for tilting the frames in order to secure the pillar, plurality of telescopically operated links 4 configured with suction cup 5 for securing the pillar within the frames, set of motorized sliders 6 for translating and evenly distributing the links over the frames, an inflatable member 7 to prevent any chances of damage to the pillar, multiple cameras 8 for capturing multiple images of vehicles approaching, and an electronic valve 9 deflating the inflatable member 7, an LDR sensor for detecting the light intensity in surroundings, multiple LED lights to illuminate for increasing visibility of frames 1."
