MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004734 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'pile cage stirrup fabrication device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pile cage stirrup fabrication device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface accommodated with a pile cage, a touch enabled screen 4 accessed by a user to input commands for wrapping stirrup over pile cage, a camera 16 to detect length of the pile cage, a roller 5 to unwrap a length of metallic wire 7 that is gripped by a pair of telescopically operated grippers 8 for passing the wire 7 through a pulley 9 as means of tying free-end with pile cage, a pair of scotch-yoke arrangements 11 to rotate the rods 17 and allow wrapping of wire 7 on the pile cage for successful wrapping of pile cage, a motorized cutter 14 configured over a robotic arm 13 to cut the wire 7 and a speaker 15 to notify the user to collect stirrup pile cage from platform 1."
