MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441067712 A) filed by Pomona Agri Science Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Telangana, on Sept. 6, 2024, for 'phyteon for enhancing photosynthesis, minerals delivery and promoting plant growth.'
Inventor(s) include Lavleen Kumar Gupta; Yerrapureddy Adinarayana Reddy; and Satya Murthy Bulusu.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Phyteon for enhancing photosynthesis, minerals delivery and promoting plant growth The present invention relates to the novel Quantum Nano Spheryx, which is a functionalized carbon nanoparticle coined as Phyteon and is an acceptable form for usage in agriculture. Phyteon enhances photosynthesis, and promoting plant growth represents a cutting-edge development in agricultural sciences. Phyteon is a small, carbon-based nanoparticle with sizes typically less than 10 nanometers. Their small size, high surface area, tunable surface chemistry, and biocompatibility make them suitable for agricultural applications, such as enhancing plant growth, improving nutrient uptake, and controlled release of agrochemicals."
