MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202534040497 A) filed by Largan Precision Co. Ltd., Taichung City, Taiwan, on April 26, for 'photography optical lens assembly, image capturing unit and electronic device.'

Inventor(s) include Yeh, Kuan-Ting; Tsai, Cheng-Yu; and Liao, Guan-Jr.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A photography optical lens assembly includes four lens elements (E1, 5 E2, E3 and E4) which are, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens element (E1), a second lens element (E2), a third lens element (E3) and a fourth lens element (E4). Each of the four lens elements (E1, E2, E3 and E4) has an object-side surface facing toward the object side and an image-side surface facing toward the image side. The first lens element (E1) has positive 10 refractive power. The third lens element (E3) has positive refractive power, the object-side surface of the third lens element (E3) is concave in a paraxial region thereof, and the image-side surface of the third lens element (E3) is convex in a paraxial region thereof. The object-side surface and the image-side surface of the third lens element (E3) are both aspheric. At least one of the object-side 15 20 surface and the image-side surface of the third lens element (E3) has at least one inflection point (P)."
