MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092543 A) filed by Boehringer Ingelheim International Gmbh, Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany, on Sept. 26, for 'phenylpiperidine derivatives as inhibitors of glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase and glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase like protein.'

Inventor(s) include Willwacher, Jens; Binder, Florian Paul Christian; Dahmann, Georg; Handschuh, Sandra Ruth; Reindl, Sophia Astrid; and Yang Hamilton, James Young Soo.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides certain phenylpiperidine derivatives, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, that are inhibitors of Glutaminyl -peptide cyclotransferase (QPCT) and glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase-like protein (QPCTL), and are therefore useful for the treatment of diseases treatable by inhibition of QPCT/L. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions containing the same, and processes for preparing said compounds."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 06, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/055766.
