MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075402 A) filed by Basf Se, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, on Aug. 7, for 'phenyl triazine co-stabilizers for stabilized polyurethanes.'
Inventor(s) include Weyland, Tania; Tartarini, Cinzia; Huber, Gregor; Gerster, Michele; and Herbst, Heinz.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a composition comprising a polyurethane; at least one UV absorber; at least one hindered amine light stabilizer; and at least one phenyl triazine of formula (A) as defined below. It also relates to a process for stabilizing the polyurethane comprising the steps of incorporating into the polyurethane the at least one UV absorber, the at least one hindered amine light stabilizer, and the at least one phenyl triazine of formula (A); and to a mixture comprising the at least one UV absorber, the at least one hindered amine light stabilizer, and the at least one phenyl triazine of formula (A) as stabilizer against degradation by light, oxygen wand/or heat of the polyurethane."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 12, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/050662.
