MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123209 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 6, 2025, for 'phase-locked loop with source degeneration charge pump.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a phase-locked loop system (400) that includes a phase frequency detector (402) configured to receive a reference signal and a feedback signal and generate phase error signals, a source degeneration charge pump (404) coupled to the phase frequency detector (402) and configured to receive the phase error signals, wherein the source degeneration charge pump (404) includes current sources (406), current sinks (408), and source degeneration resistors (412) configured to provide transconductance stabilization and noise reduction through negative feedback, a loop filter (416) configured to convert current pulses into a stable control voltage, a voltage controlled oscillator (418) configured to generate an output signal with frequency proportional to the control voltage, and a frequency divider (420) configured to provide the feedback signal to the phase frequency detector (402)."
