MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057085 A) filed by Noucor Health, S. A. ; and Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Barcelona, Spain, on June 13, for 'pharmaceutical composition comprising rupatadine and montelukast.'
Inventor(s) include Strusi, Orazio Luca; Coderch, Montserrat; Sehgal, Ashish; Chauhan, Manishkumar Jayantibhai; and Pandya, Kavan Asitkumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to new pharmaceutical compositions comprising Rupatadine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and Montelukast or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The new pharmaceutical compositions can be manufactured by a simple process and show excellent compatibility of both APIs, while at the same time allowing for an excellent bioavailability of the two APIs."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/086014.
