MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117018 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'pet grooming assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Deepali Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet grooming assistive device, comprising a body 100 having a proximal end and a distal end, a handle 101is attached with the proximal end that is accessed by a user, an input means 102 is paired with the body 100 for enabling the user to provide input specifications, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 is for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the body 100, a brush head 104 mounted at a distal end of the body 100 and equipped with a water dispensing unit 105 for spraying an appropriate amount of water onto the pet animal's fur, a vacuum module mounted on the brush head, operatively linked with an infrared based optical sensor, that detects loose fur, a skin capacitive sensor installed in the brush head 104 for detecting skin type of the pet animal."
