MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117022 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'pet animal mobility assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet animal mobility assistive device, comprises an extendable U-shaped horizontal frame 101 is mounted on a pair of extendable rods 102 with a harness 104 positioned at the front, a user activates a device via an user interface of a computing unit wirelessly connected to an inbuilt microcontroller, which then activates an imaging unit 105 and an ultrasonic sensor to detect the animal's size, adjusting the frame 101 and rods 102 accordingly, a posture monitoring module detects posture, movement, tilt, and pressure and a motorized hinges 106 adjust the frame 101 for comfort, an IMU detects irregular gait to actuate rod adjustment, terrain vibrations trigger a pair of electromagnetic shock-absorbing springs 107, a health module checks temperature, pulse, and oxygen, a LiDAR senses obstacles and applies brakes, and GPS with GSM sends alerts if the animal crosses geo-fenced boundaries."
