MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024081 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'pet accommodation device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Anshika Jain; and Dr. Arminder Kaur.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pet accommodation device for vehicles, comprising a hollow body 1 configured with a pair of looped strap 2 that is accessed by a user to fit around a car seat of a vehicle in view of securing the body 1 on the car-seat, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine dimensions of a pet positioned in proximity to the car-seat, a pair of motorized vertical slider 4 arranged on back portion of the body 1 to provide required translation to the body 1 for preventing hitting of the pet on car-roof in view of providing a comfortable ride to the pet and a display panel 5 installed on the body 1 to produce pre-fed display signals for enabling the pet to stay engaged during the ride."
