According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In a computer device a library of personalization data for use in animation of a 3D model representing a human or a humanoid character in a shared VR or AR environment is maintained. The personalization data includes at least animation, texture or color description that represent mannerisms or idiosyncrasies of an individual, for example when performing gestures or facial expressions. The personalization data is stored as an indexed file or library which is made available to other participants in the shared environment. When animation description data is generated, indices referencing detected actions are transmitted together with animation description data to the shared environment. Other participants apply the referenced actions from the library together with animation data when rendering the 3D model. Aspects include methods and devices for creating personalization data, including personalization data indices with animation data, and for applying personalization data when rendering an animation."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 14, 2024, under International application No.PCT/NO2024/050064.
