Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Personal Care Composition Comprising A Volatile Alkane Mixture And Non-Volatile Oils' Filed by Momentive Performance Materials Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517063200 A) filed by Momentive Performance Materials Inc., Waterford, U.S.A., on July 2, for 'personal care composition comprising a volatile alkane mixture and non-volatile oils.'

Inventor(s) include Wei, Linda; Falk, Benjamin; Smith, Roxanne; and Tamami, Mana.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Personal care compositions comprising (a) a volatile alkane mixture comprising about 10% to about 90% by weight of linear alkanes having 9 to 18 carbon atoms and about 10% to about 90% by weight of branched alkanes having 10 to 14 carbon atoms relative to the total weight of the alkane mixture; and (b) one or more non-volatile oils selected from the group consisting of a silicone oil, a hydrocarbon oil, an organic oil, a fluorinated oil, and combinations thereof."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 05, 2022, under International application No.PCT/CN2022/136539.
