MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072773 A) filed by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., Tokyo, on July 31, for 'perfume composition and alicyclic alcohol composition.'

Inventor(s) include Nakazawa Yushun; Shirai Shinyou; and Hashimoto Ryoma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This perfume composition contains, as an active ingredient, an alicyclic alcohol represented by formula (1). Provided are: a perfume composition that contains, as an active ingredient, an alicyclic alcohol capable of imparting a smooth, clean, and natural scent of lily of the valley to the perfume composition, that has a clear, smooth, clean, and natural scent of lily of the valley, and that has a fresh green floral scent; the use of said alicyclic alcohol as a perfume; and an alicyclic alcohol composition that contains said alicyclic alcohol and an isomer thereof."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 19, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/010640.
