MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104187 A) filed by Pranveer Singh Institute Of Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'performance optimization of lithium-ion battery in ev through taguchi approach.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Asif Ahmad; Dr. Raghuraj Singh Suryavanshi; Mr. Ashutosh Pandey; Dr. Nand Kishore Sharma; Dr. Sunil Vishwakarma; Dr. Nayancy; and Dr. Rajatverma.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention reveals a technique for enhancing the driving range of EV (electric vehicles) through the optimisation of lithium-ion battery attributes. The process takes into account things like energy density (Wh/L), specific energy (Wh/kg), and specific power (W/kg). The Taguchi method uses a L9 orthogonal array to design experimental trials, and ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) is used to see how each factor affects the results. Based on these tests, the best combination of parameters is found to get the most range out of each charge cycle. The suggested method gives a structured way to make EV batteries more reliable and functional, which is good for both manufacturers and users who want to promote sustainable mobility solutions."
