MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641044274 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 7, for 'pen type tripod pinch strength meter.'

This invention serves as an accurate, user-friendly, and portable assessment instrument suitable for neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, addressing conditions like stroke, peripheral nerve damage, and hand trauma recovery. Additionally, it can be utilized in ergonomic and occupational assessments to evaluate hand function and performance. By mergmg sensor accuracy with functional design, the pen-style tripod pinch strength meter provides an objective and effective means for assessing and monitoring hand strength in clinical, research, and home rehabilitation environments."
