According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an animal shelter management system designed to enhance the welfare of street animals, particularly dogs and pregnant females, through the integration of AI, IoT, and automation. The system employs Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and camera modules for real-time monitoring of animal behavior, enabling early detection of pregnancy, illness, and injuries. A specialized pregnancy chamber provides automated sterilization, environmental control, and gentle bathing and drying mechanisms for expectant dogs. The shelter includes an innovative waste management system that converts animal waste into nutrient-rich fertilizer using microbial decomposition. A central control unit coordinates all subsystems, while cloud connectivity allows remote monitoring and data-driven decision-making by veterinarians and shelter staff."
