MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611000900 A) filed by Nims University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Jan. 5, for 'patient symptom tracking and emergency response system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. R. Sanjeevi; Dr. J. Anuradha; Vanshika Choudhary; and Bablu Malhotra.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated real-time monitoring and emergency response system (100) for patients undergoing chemotherapy. The system comprises a patient input interface (102) that collects daily symptom data through a simplified 0-5 severity scale integrated with Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking. A data processing module (104) analyses the received inputs against clinician-defined safety thresholds, triggering corresponding alert levels. Upon detecting a critical-level alert, an emergency response integration module (106) autonomously compiles and transmits a critical medical summary including GPS and medical history to an ambulance dispatch service API, ensuring rapid response without manual intervention. A clinician alerting sub-system (105) simultaneously notifies healthcare providers through Short Message Service (SMS) and encrypted email. All health data are stored in an encrypted database (103) and visualized through a trend analysis dashboard, enhancing patient safety, compliance, and emergency management efficiency."
