MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521133177 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'patient monitoring system.'

Inventor(s) include Manthan Bambhaniya; Ayush Dubariya; Prem Katharotiya; Simrin Fathima Syed; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A patient monitoring system comprises of a body 101, a wearable wristband 102 operatively to be worn by a patient to continuously measure vital health parameters, a platform 106 for receiving medical records of the patient manually, a touch screen display panel 115 for enabling some authorized medical personnel to input information regarding patient's health, an analysis module to review and analyze the medical reports of the patient, an artificial intelligence based camera 107 with facial recognition protocol for monitoring surrounding environment of the patient and glucose drip and identify authorized and unauthorized individuals, a three-finger gripper 108 mounted on a ball and socket joint 114 for manipulating the glucose drip, an articulated arm 109 configured for accessing a multi-sectioned storage chamber 111, for taking out medicine as per requirement and position the medicine over a plate 110."
