MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115232 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'patient monitoring and transferring system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A patient monitoring and transferring system, comprises of a pliable member 101 mounted with a bed 102, for supporting a patient for mounting and dismounting, one or more lifting loops 103 integrated with the member 101 to enabling mounting with the bed 102, a mounting structure 104 mountable with the bed 102 for coupling with the loop 103, a sensing array integrated in the member 101, detecting pressure applied by the user on the member 101 and moisture content on the member 101, a CG determination module configured with a DAU, receiving data from the pressure sensors 105 to determine a CG of the patient during mounting and dismounting, a detection module configured with the DAU, configured to receive data from the sensing array to predict HAPI, and a communication unit transmitting alerts to inform regarding fall risk and the predict occurrence of HAPI."
