MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641009119 A) filed by Reaction Motors Pvt. Ltd, Serilingampally, Telangana, on Jan. 29, for 'passive thrust-responsive tilt mechanism for thrust driven vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Palla Sridhar Reddy.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A propulsion device (100) for a Thrust-driven vehicle (102) for passive thrust responsive for tilt-rotor or tilt-wing configurations is disclosed. The propulsion device (100) incorporates a passive thrust-responsive tilt mechanism enabling angular reorientation relative to a vehicle body or wing structure (116). The propulsion device (100) is coupled to the vehicle body or rotatable wing through a pivot assembly (104) defining a pivot axis (120). A pre-strained spring (106), connected at spring anchor points (118), applies a restoring torque opposing a thrust-induced torque generated due to an offset thrust line. A stopper-damper assembly (108) limits angular travel and dissipates kinetic energy during transitions. When thrust exceeds a first threshold (FT1) the propulsion device (100) passively tilts toward a second angular orientation and returns toward a first angular orientation when thrust falls below a second threshold (FT2), enabling actuator-free thrust-based tilting across multiple operating modes."
