MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061633 A) filed by Dheya Engineering Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on May 14, for 'passive bleed crossover diffuser blade for flow control.'
Inventor(s) include Abhinav Alva; and Rohit Kushwaha.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A centrifugal compressor assembly (100) having a crossover diffuser blade with passive flow control is disclosed. The assembly comprises a compressor impeller (101) configured to discharge working fluid through an impeller exit flow path (102) into a crossover diffuser section (103) leading to a compressor outlet passage (104). A diffuser blade (201) includes a diffuser blade body (300) having a pressure-side inlet opening (301), a suction-side outlet opening (303), and an internal passive bleed passage (302) extending therebetween. Fluid is routed from a pressure side surface (304) to a suction side surface (305) solely by pressure differential across the blade and discharged in a jet discharge direction (306) to form a re-energized boundary layer jet (404). The arrangement suppresses flow separation (401), promotes attached flow (402), reduces wake losses (403), improves pressure recovery, compressor efficiency, and surge margin without external control devices."
