Inventor(s) include Madasamy, Subburaj.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart aerosol generating device equipped with an interlocking mechanism that ensures user safety by preventing simultaneous operation of charging and inhalation modes. The device comprises an atomizer, a mouthpiece, a battery component, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to detect the presence of an external power supply and automatically disable inhalation functionality during charging. This prevents users from being exposed to electrical hazards associated with power failures or fluctuations. The device operates in two modes: Charging Mode and Inhalation Mode, determined by the presence of input power supply. The invention eliminates the need for mechanical interlocks or user intervention, providing a seamless and safe user experience. The device also features a processor that monitors the input supply and ensures that inhalation is only possible when the charging cable is removed, thereby enhancing safety margins."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 10, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/057769.
