MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134650 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'paper sheet production and binding device.'
Inventor(s) include Najma Njile Macha; Maryam Ahmed Omar; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Simrin Fathima Syed; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A paper sheet production and binding device, comprises of a housing 101 configured with a plurality of compartments 102 for storing different types of raw paper materials, a transferring unit to identify, segregate, and transport required raw materials based on the received input specifications, a pulping and fiber preparation unit to clean, soften, grind, and refine the raw materials into uniform pulp suitable for sheet formation, a sheet forming unit to distribute fibers uniformly and form wet paper sheets of desired thickness, a pressing, drying, and rolling unit to remove excess water, dry the sheets, monitor moisture content, and roll the dried paper into continuous rolls, a cutting unit to cut the rolled or sheeted paper into predefined dimensions based on the received input specifications and a binding unit to align, stack, and bind cut sheets into books."
