MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124857 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'papaya peel-derived bioplastic membrane fabrication device.'

Inventor(s) include Nishu; Dr. Sudesh Kumar; and Dr. Kusum Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A papaya peel-derived bioplastic membrane fabrication device comprises of a housing 101 installed with a storage container 102 for storing papaya peels and seeds, an input means for providing command to initiate bio-membrane production, a cleaning and blending compartment 107 for collecting discharged peels and seeds, a water source 108 for supplying water, heating units for heating the water for cleaning the peels, a stirring rod 110 to mix the peels and seeds with water, a blending blade 111 for blending cleaned peels, a screw conveyor 112 to transfer blended paste to an adjacent chemical mixing chamber 114, a plurality of additive storage cavities 117 for storing chemicals and natural additives, a stirring unit 118 for mixing additives with paste, a drying platform 120 for transferring mixed paste, heating elements 125 for drying paste into a bio plastic membrane."
