MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517035196 A) filed by Unicharm Corporation, Ehime, Japan, on April 10, for 'panty type sanitary pad and package of panty type sanitary pad.'
Inventor(s) include Umehara Natsumi; Kato Nobuyuki; Pongsun Chancharassuk; Tanate Pragobsub; and Ranida Konthieng.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A panty type sanitary pad (1) comprises: an absorbent body (10) including an absorbent core (11); a belly side trunk portion (20); and a back side trunk portion (30) which is a separate member from the belly side trunk portion (20). When a menstrual blood dropping test of dropping artificial menstrual blood onto a central part in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the absorbent core (11) in a developed and extended state is conducted the thickness of the central part of the panty type sanitary pad (1) after the test is smaller than the thickness of the central part of the panty type sanitary pad (1) before the test."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/041632.
