MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055346 A) filed by Cummins Power Generation Inc., Minneapolis, on June 9, for 'pantograph bounce logic.'
Inventor(s) include Shaikh, Latif M; Jarudkar, Anand Narayan; Sonpethkar, Amit Balkrishna; Petare, Sushant; and M, Vysakh.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Systems and apparatuses include one or more processing circuits comprising one or more memory devices coupled to one or more processors, the one or more memory devices configured to store instructions thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: determine a pantograph bounce event based on an input voltage and an input voltage frequency; automatically disable a rectifier in response to determining the pantograph bounce event; record an instant DC link voltage at the time the rectifier is disabled; and set a reference DC voltage to the instant DC link voltage."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 10, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/079407.
