MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441010408 A) filed by Ashutosh Srivastava, Kundalahalli, Karnataka, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'panel-specific touch sensor enhancement mechanism considering contact duration.'

Inventor(s) include Ashutosh Srivastava; Dr P Susheelkumar; Krishna Teja; and Sachin Aralikatti.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The proposal is a novel approach to optimize touch sensor performance based on the dimensions of the panel and the duration of user interaction. Traditional touch sensors often lack adaptability to varying panel sizes and user behaviors, leading to suboptimal responsiveness and accuracy. This patent introduces an intelligent enhancement mechanism that dynamically adjusts touch sensitivity and responsiveness according to the specific characteristics of the panel and the duration of contact. By employing advanced algorithms and sensor calibration techniques, the proposed system ensures an optimal user experience across a wide range of touch-enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, interactive displays, and touch-sensitive input devices. This innovation promises to revolutionize human-computer interaction by providing more intuitive and seamless touch experiences tailored to individual user preferences and device configurations."
