MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517078947 A) filed by Turkiye Sise Ve Cam Fabrikalari Anonim Sirketi, Istanbul, on Aug. 20, for 'panel assembly for a vehicle and manufacturing method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Suner, Cagatay; Gunduz Tulumen, Evrim; and Ogut, Burcu.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a panel assembly for a vehicle comprising a composite laminated panel (10) with an inner panel (1); an outer panel (3) adjacent to the inner panel (1); and a thermoplastic intermediate panel (2) bonding the inner and outer panels (1, 3) together. A through-hole (16) extends between an inner surface (12) of the inner panel (1) and an outer surface (14) of the outer panel (3) on the laminated panel (10), and a gasket (20) providing a seal between the hole (16) and a sensor (40) positioned within the hole (16), surrounding the sensor (40) in a manner that securing it to the laminated panel (10)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/TR2023/051829.
