MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023117 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'painting assistive device for wall corners.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A painting assistive device for wall corners comprises an expandable U-shaped plate 1 configured with an ultrasonic sensor detects dimensions of ferrule portion of paint brush, a motorized drawer arrangement 2 integrated within the plate 1 for increasing/ decreasing dimensions of the plate 1, plurality of suction units 3 configured on inner portion of the plate 1 to securely grip the ferrule, an artificial intelligence-based generates a 3D mapping of the enclosure, a touch enabled screen 5 for user selection of a portion of the enclosure, a holographic projection unit 6 guide a holographic image on the enclosure, an angle sensor installed on the plate 1 detects angle of corner of the enclosure, a rectangular member integrated with plurality of flaps 8 interconnected by means of multiple hinges arranged on the plate 1 via an extendable L-shaped link 9 for positioning the member on corner of the enclosure."
