MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019159 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'painting assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A painting assistive device, comprises of an expandable C- shaped frame 1 configured with a base plate 2 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a container filled with paint, a curve-shaped handle 3 for engaging the frame 1 with any vertical support, a drawer arrangement 4 for expanding/contracting the frame 1 1 for accommodating the container, an electromagnet 5 to affix the paint brush, a microphone 6 to input voice commands regarding engagement/removal of the paint brush, a telescopic rod 7 for dipping the motorized stirrer 8 to blend the paint, and a speaker 9 to alert the user regarding the presence of moisture on the vertical support."
