MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020060 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'painting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Vinit Vishnoi; Jasvir Singh Rana; Shamshad Hussain; and Anil Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A painting assistive device, comprising a tubular body 1 having a first end 2 and second end 3 for accommodating a paint that is to be applied over a surface in accordance to requirement of a user, a motorized slider 4 positioned on inner wall of body 1 and configured with a slot 5 accommodated with a brush to translate slot 5 for dipping brush within said paint in order to collect paint, an image capturing module 6 for detecting dipping of brush, a telescopically operated gripper 7 to grip brush and press against multiple grooves mapped on inner walls for removing out additional paint from brush, an ultrasonic sensor synchronized with image capturing module 6 installed on body 1 for detecting thickness of paint coat adhered over brush."
