MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003711 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'painting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a painting assistive device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a handle 2 accommodate paint bucket and allowing user to lift platform 1 via a curved-shaped member 3, multiple touch sensors installed on a pair of straps 4 installed on member 3 for detecting presence of bucket between strap 4 and members 3, a motorized roller 6 attached with each strap 4 for gripping bucket between member 3 and straps 4, a proximity sensor installed a cuboidal block 7 assembled with handle 2 for detecting presence of a paint brush in proximity to block 7, a gesture detection sensor installed on handle 2 synced with camera 5 for detecting gesture performed by user, and a vibrating unit installed on platform 1 for generating vibrational sensation after pre-set time interval to maintain optimum consistency of paint."
