MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024855 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'paint removal assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A paint removal assistive device comprises of platform 101 configured with telescopic rod 102 attached with motorized wheels 103 developed to be maneuvered over ground surface, display panel 104 to provide input specifications, imaging unit 105 for capturing images, projection unit 106 to project light on area of wall, sanding paper unit 107 to move along wall surface in a controlled manner ensuring removal of old paint layer, telescopic bar 108 to extend sanding paper unit 107, canopy 109 attached on platform 101 via a scissor mechanism 110 to extend and retract canopy 109 as required to collect spreading old paint after removal, suction unit 111 for collecting removed paint and dust particles and store into chamber, dust sensor to detect level of dust generated during paint removal process, electronic nozzle 112 to dispense water on surface to suppress dust generated and confocal sensor to measure thickness of the paint."
