MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012502 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'paint bucket opening device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A paint bucket opening device, comprising a frame 1 mounted on cover lid of a paint bucket, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 determines dimensions of cover lid, an expandable pulley arrangement 3 expands/contracts for properly getting accommodated on lid, multiple motorized clippers 4 acquire a grip on edges of lid, a microphone 5 accessed by a user regarding opening bucket, an ultrasonic sensor detects presence of a seal on lid, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 6 extend/retract for positioning translating blade 7 on seal to tear seal, two robotic arms 8 acquire grip over mid-portion of bucket, two bars 9 mounted on frame 1 and hinged with each other for supporting a spring 10 assembled in between bars 9 that is compressed by user by applying a force on bars 9, in synchronization with rotation of a rotatable disc 11 for opening lid."
